:wtf:

The "hero" put the video and a couple of others on utube with a somewhat ambiguous and misleading description. I think he couldn't take the pile on criticism so now they have been taken down but some were saved because the internet lives on!

10 minutes of DE at VIR recently from newish GT350 perspective.

i don't like click throughs myself. They have embed codes but I must be doing it wrong.

Definitely two hot foots. Porsche had the power on the straights. GT350 could clearly brake much later.

I watched until he tagged the Porsche. He just went too deep that turn. It happens.

ouch

That guy definitely had some red mist flowing ! First problem: he was driving way to aggressive for a DE, it's not supposed to be WTW racing. Problem two: he tried a hero late-braking move, and either ran out of talent or brakes. Either way, he could have let off the brakes and tried to initiate the turn instead of just cutting to the grass. My first rule in racing is not to take out another car with my mistakes !

The worst part was you could see it was going to happen for quit some time. Not a lot of braking power on the grass

patrickstapler 07-06-2019 04:39 PM

The brakes work just fine on the grass. Tire grip on the other hand is out the window.

Turnall 07-06-2019 07:14 PM

He hit the brakes WAY too late...he was at the 1 sign when the brake light came on, no way he was going to stop. He was on the brake at the 3 sign every lap before that one...

Like Stephen said...hero move. It was late in the session. He had been chasing the Porsche the entire time.
