Free '65 / '66 Fastback Parts - Chicago Area Pick-up Only

A few years ago, I posted about a '65 Fastback project I'm working on to convert a cast-off car that spent 35 years outside behind a barn into a vintage road racer. I have a bunch of parts that were kicking around my shop since then and would like to see them go to a good home that will use them or get them in the hands of other Mustang fans.

Everything below is free - the only strings attached are that you must take everything and you must pick it all up at my shop, located in Sugar Grove, IL - about 1 hour west of Chicago.

First PM to me agreeing to take it all and pick it up gets it - Good Luck!

'66 cast grill pieces - L&R
Door window regulators - L&R
Vent window assemblies - L&R (pass side glass is OEM "CarLite" with date code - driver is replacement PPG)
(2) Rear windows - wow, are these heavy!
Trap door to trunk - uncut and with hinges, latch, and lock arm
Rear trim panels - complete set of 9 black fiberglass pieces and all mounting brackets as follows
  • Large sides - L&R
  • Lower corners - L&R
  • Center - above trap door
  • Upper corners - L&R
  • Qtr vent cover panels - L&R
Qtr vent slider panels (inner) - L&R (rusty)
Qrt vent assemblies (outer) - L&R (complete)
Roof trim panel that separates headliner from rear area - driver side, I think

Wes was first. I'll keep this post up for a couple of weeks in case he's unable to make it, then it'll go to number two.

2540 miles and back home-THANKS for the parts and bottled water, great talking with you Chris and looking at your rides, even if your wife MUST HAVE A CAMERO VERT. She has good taste . Ran into less traffic tieups on the way back and some showers so the sun was not in my eyes much. Stop by when you get to florida and view my cars- junk compared to yours. Take care, Wes

Wes - glad to hear you made it home safely. Also, glad that those parts will find a new home on your current project.

Wes, did you take the old caddy?

I remember when you showed up at my place for that old 289/c-4 and put it on that old trailer - it was still dark thirty in the am. We got them loaded and I managed to make it to work at the SO on time.....
