I6 200Ci Dist Cap

I ordered a new dist cap for my 1967 I6 200 from NPD and they sent me one that is blue. One on it now is black. I'm just wondering if the original was black or blue? I doubt the current one is original, but would prefer at least one that is the original color...

Thanks,
Tracy

Probably from Standard Motor Products. Haven't seen a black cap available in quite a while. Also, the engine isn't a v6, its an i6 or inline 6

OEM was never blue. The black with brass would be correct, and preferable.

Amateur restorer. Well, sometimes I have been paid for it. But not right now.
