1967 Fastback Rear Seat Frame Repair

Need to repair the seat frame slots where the vinyl is hog-ringed, rusted and blown out in a couple of spots (see attachment) and looking for advice. - Thanks.

Thanks! That's one I didn't think of. Glad I asked.

I was thinking about tacking a strip along the edge the length of the 3 slots that need repair.

You could do that as well, if you think the rest of the metal is weak. Use perf-ed pipe hanger strap from the hardware store.
