'65 steering column install

I purchased my '65 coupe with EVERYTHING taken out of the engine bay, and it's now time to put it all back together. I have a few boxes of parts that came with the car, but have mostly purchased new replacement parts. I'm new to the Mustang world and am trying to figure out how to put the steering column back in. I already know what you're thinking, and the answer is, "yes", I already purchased the official repair manual. Said manual calls for installing "steering column cover plates", however I certainly don't have these plates, and likewise cannot find any online for a '65 (only for '67+). So.....where can I find a steering column plate, if required, and is there one on each side of the firewall? I've already purchased the firewall to steering column seal (NPD Item#3513-1A), as well as the steering column to dash grommet (NPD Item #3512-1), steering column tube to steering box seal (NPD Item #3564-1A), and steering shaft lower seal (NPD Item #.3591-0). What else am I missing, and what of these mysterious plates? Required for a '65?, and if so, anyone have a link to where I can get them?

Nevermind - I found the factory diagram online - thanks! Anyone know how that firewall seal attaches and what hardware it uses? I'm assuming three screws, but isn't this just a rubber sheet? Which screws, and does it go on the engine bay side of the firewall? Seems hokey. Thanks!

there is a metal frame which sandwiches the rubber to the interior side of the firewall.It looks like a big flat ring with holes that match your rubber seal

What you say makes sense and is what I would expect. So are we saying that part number 3513 of the attached diagram is the metal frame? I ordered p/n 3513, and it's just rubber. Hence my confusion. And I can't find a metal frame for a '65 anywhere.

It is not shown in that picture.You need it to secure the rubber seal.Its a must have piece

Originals are usually heavily pitted in the metal usually due to their location.. I don't know if they are even reproed today or who carries them...

Thought I was missing one for my car as well but once I saw the picture I remembered seeing one in a bucket of parts in my barn.
