Throttle Cable And Bracket For Sniper EFI

I am getting ready to install Holley Sniper EFI in my 1969 build. What throttle cable and carb (Sniper throttle body) brackets work with an OEM accelerator pedal. I am not sure if a Lokar cable will work with a stock pedal. Also not sure if a stock cable and carb bracket will work with the Sniper. What are you all using out there with the Sniper?

Throttle Cable And Bracket For Sniper EFI

I had to get creative.
Ordered in three different bracket and nothing worked.

I adapted my JEGS bracket over with an aluminum plate I made.
I can take closer pics if needed when I get home.

Super Sniper on 351c.
Lokar cable on factory pedal.

What was the deciding factor for the Super Sniper over the Sniper?

Lokar sells a Sniper bracket; http://www.lokar.com/assets/instruct...FI-Bracket.pdf

I used this JEGS 24 in. Throttle Cable. There was a slight modification to the cable to be able to use the stock accelerator pedal. I removed the clevis pin and then the clevis bracket slides off. The stock cable has a little plastic washer that should be moved over to the universal cable. You have to cut your original cable to get the washer out. You might be able to find a steel washer that will work, but plastic is quieter. I didn't want to destroy my original cable and found a similar cable on a junkyard Lincoln.

Lokar sells prettier cable and a billet accelerator pedal but Lokar is never cheap.

HP
My motor is a rowdy 700hp.
Allegedly.
Havenít dynoíd it,
But at this point during test drives, itís barely streetable IMO.
The Super is rated to 700hp, and has some many more bells and whistles like the terminator.

I can't help you with the actual cable installation, but on my '66 I was able to use the exact same linkage as I was running on the 670 Street Avenger that the Sniper replaced. The same linkage was also used on my first carb, a 600cfm Edelbrock. If your current linkage is configured to work with a standard Holley or Eddy carb, you should have no problem adapting it to the Sniper.
I did fabricate a small plate that extends the length to the throttle lever, making the transition off idle much smoother.

I used a Lokar cable and bracket for my install, and I didn't have any issues with the cable attaching to my pedal. I have too much throttle cable but it was the shortest I could find from Lokar.

I am starting from scratch. The only items I currently have are the stock pedal and the Sniper. I don't want to order stuff that doesn't work. Done that too many times already.

If you have an automatic you will need the Lokar kickdown cable/bracket. I have one but the eyelet is too small to fit the kickdown lever on the transmission. There's always something else.

Using a 4R70W so don't need a kickdown cable.
