I'm wracking my brains trying to think of a Ford passenger car that might have used a BCI Group 24 battery... Mustang's used 22F and 24F batteries, which had the posts reversed from the "standard" group 24.

When GM's still used top posts batteries, THEY used the BCI Group 24.... like my '65 Chevelle....obviously, in the case of an Autolite battery, as a replacement.

What, me worry?

I've got one of those green-cap 24's as well, NOS, and I've never bothered to figure out what it was supposed to go in either... So I'm hoping someone on here is an Autolite battery guru..

Suggestion:

Put on Ebay with a crazy reserve price.... See how much they go for...then re-list a few bucks under that price..

ConcoursMustang forum has an excellent Mustang Monthly article in their document library detailing the Autolite battery differences. You’ll probably have to log in.

Edit-just to clarify, the photo I posted is discussing cap colors, not text
