Hello all,
Done a lot of searching and homework on the VA and CAA systems here on the Forum, but I'm not a huge fan of how high they sit. Below are two different Mustangs with the same AC and Serpentine setup. The AC sits much lower, and the hoses run up along the passenger side, which I like better too. Anybody know what it is?
Thanks!
My guess is that the installation depicted uses hot rod billet brackets to mount the compressor. Take a look at these images to see what others have used
Thanks for the replies. @Boxhead and Woodchuck: are you guys saying that's what Vintage Air's system in those pics? Boxhead, is that your car?
I've been looking at YouTube vids and google images of vintage air and classic auto air, and neither of them look like what's in the above pics. Just wanted to double check with you guys.
Found it! It is the Vintage Air Front Runner Serpentine system. I had only been looking at the SureFit Series till now. The Front Runner System is pricey but very clean looking under the hood. Will do some searching here on the Forum to see if anyone has any experience with this. Thanks!
Look up March Ultra serpentine setup. You need the smaller style compressor but it mounts it low on the passenger side and is a lot less money than the front runner setups. Then you can do custom routing of your hoses.
My build thread has pics of what I did using the March brackets.
I'm pretty sure your pics are a Vintage Air Front Runner. I went with Vintage Air for the same reason you're looking for, engine accessories were way too big.
