My '66 will sometimes shudder as I call it when moving from a stopped position. Sometimes the car will be absolutely fine but other times it shudders when giving it gas. It seems to go away when I reach about 40 mph.
Hi, also if your tune up is old, you should check the condition of all the ignition parts, If anything is not up to par, it could cause your shuddering. Good luck
I'm going to interpret a shutter as a driveline issue and not an engine miss, therefore check transmission fluid level and modulator vacuum line for leaks.
Check your fluid. Sounds like it could possibly be torque converter shudder if it’s in a specific range. If so, it’s time to take a look at the condition of the entire transmission
Do you feel it more in the steering wheel, or up through the seats? Can you feel it with your foot on the throttle?
Does it only happen during acceleration from a stop, or can you feel it from 10 or 20 mph too?
If you rev the engine in park, can you feel it?
Since the car is new to you, it would be worth a replacing the trans fluid and filter. While under the car, I'd also check the condition of the universal joints, the rear transmission mount and rear suspension hardware.
