Seat Extenders installed.

Got my seat extenders from Rebel Racing her eon the forum. Installed them today. I'm 6'3" and what a difference these make. Great quality product. First remove the plastic plugs covering the holes on the underside of the body. !/2 inch socket on an extension will remove the four nuts. Be careful not to drop the nuts inside the body, otherwise you'll have a fun time fishing them out. After you remove the 4 nuts,, the seats will pull right up.

One of the extenders will have a little cut out. This goes on the side with the release handle. Bolt them up with the supplied hardware, cut off the original front stud and reinsert the seat. I happen to have some leftover 1/2" nuts with a shoulder on them. This made reinsertion really easy since the shouldered nuts would stay on the end of a socket and were less likely to fall off into the floor pan.

All and all took me about 1/2 hr. Now my knees aren't cramped under the steering wheel. I even think I'll have enough room for a clutch pedal if I go that route!

Bottom line, high quality product and ridiculously easy to install. Definitely recommended to those of us who aren't vertically challenged!

Definitely would like a pair for my 66. Tired of wedging my knee between steering wheel and door handle while shifting. Please let me know how to order from you.

Thanks ophthos for the write up on these. I'm also 6'3" and could use a little more room. Glad to hear these work well for you.

These are the correct nuts for attaching the seat to the floor pan.

Being 6'6" tall, I felt I needed a little more room so built my own extenders and welded on extensions= supports off the back of the seat pan to get 3" more travel. If I was not so tall I would have purchased Rebel Racing offering as they get great reviews.

66 Convertible. Full restoration in the works
