Sound Dampening Material

ACC sells an 8 piece kit. That includes two pieces for the trunk.

I dont remember my moms 67 having that in the trunk. Is that original or did ACC just add a couple pieces?

I used butyl rubber flashing tape on my transition pan, under rear seat floor and wheelhouses to absorb any noise from underneath.

I know everyone has their preferences on this topic . I bought Noico brand , on Amazon , and paid under $60 for 36 sq ft. That $160 will really seem expensive when you have to buy a 2nd box because you WILL decide to cover more of the interior.. just ask anyone who has installed sound deadener how much they used .

I bought the ACC 8 piece kit from RockAuto for $66.

Which side does the trunk divider piece mount on, in front of or behind the divider?

I have a metal trunk divider and it looks as if it should mount between the divider and the seat but I thought I would ask.

I am more than pleased with my Noico install on my 73 Mach 1.

Another +1 to the Noico butyl rubber off Amazon. It's the same thing as Dynamat except without the price. I added a bit of Dynaliner (couldn't find a similar product for much cheaper) on top of that for heat suppression and I couldn't be happier. The car's quieter and my transmission hump doesn't feel like a pizza oven.

For good reason. The Russians are cranking out a good product at a good price. That spells value and Mustang people like a good value!

I don't think that applies here. You asked about a sound deadening kit and people are trying to help you by suggesting you forgo that kit and simply buy a box of Noico. Is your objective to quiet the inside of your car? If not, sorry. We misunderstood.

Geesch.

I "stated" that ACC sells an 8 piece kit.

I "asked" if the two pieces in the truck were original as I dont remember my moms 67 having them that my parents bought new.

No one has bothered to address the question.
