1967 Sports sprint

The PO of my 67 said the car was a Sports Sprint, it is a 289 C code car is there any way to know for sure?

Here is some Sports Sprint info stolen from another site (Google is your friend)

The 1967 Mustang Sports Sprint was an entry level sport options package which included hood vents, recessed turn signals, white wall tires, full wheel covers, bright metal rocker panel moldings, chrome air cleaner, and vinyl covered shift handle if an automatic transmission was ordered. Early in 1967 the Sport Sprint package was only offered on the hardtop body style, but by June 1967 the convertible was included. Often times these Mustangs were ordered in special colors such as Springtime Yellow or Dusk Rose (Pink), and most could include a decklid mounted luggage rack at a reduced price. Ford offered a set of promotional ads for this special model, often calling it a limited edition and included it as part of the 3rd birthday celebration of Mustang.

If you order a Deluxe Marti Report, it should list all the options and tell you if it was a Sports Sprint.

There are several threads in the forum on the Sports Sprint. You can search in the top right for more info. I would invest in the Marti report, there is a chance it's a Sports Sprint or another special edition Mustang. If it works out you may have a rare one but you have to research it. Pics might help identify it and makes it better for everyone, we like pics. Also, put your general location in your profile. Good luck, Jim

As mentioned above my Marti report shows mine came with the Sport Sprint Package so if you want to know for sure I would order one.

All of the Sports Sprint options are bolt on including the hood with the turn signal lights.. The only way to tell for 100% sure is the Marti Report.

I don't believe the wheel molding where part of it, but I could be wrong. Mine is missing the Chrome air cleaner and the vinyl covered auto shifter, just has a plain chrome one. Eventually will replace that as I know I have seen reproductions of it but have not seen a reproduction of the Chrome Air cleaner for the Sport sprint package and when I see them on eBay usually more then I want to spend.

No wheel lip or trunk moldings for the SS option. They were part of the exterior decor group.
