I received a couple of window trim pieces for the rear window on my 65. These are original used pieces, so they have paint and old bedding compound on them. What is best way to clean these off and get them fairly shiny. I'm not looking for "showroom" shine because it won't last too long as I drive the car too much. There are no major dings or creases on the trim pieces, so I don't have to worry about that.
I know there are two different rubber seals for the windshield from Dan Carpenter, and one is thinner and better fitting than the other. Is there also a better fitting rubber seal for the rear window on my Fastback? I had one heck of a time getting the trim on over the repro gasket on a few years ago and it just doesn't look right.
