I go back and forth on whether it makes me vomit or not.
If you squint your eyes just right after a few cocktails, it looks kinda cool.

I currently have a shaker (see signature) - but i dont like the way it looks and im tired of straightening it out (also, my motor isnt level inside the bay so it has a lean to it)

before that I had the mach1 style with turn signals, but it was a bad repo so it was all wavy.

BUTT --- i just got my third scoop in the mail yesterday! just sat it on and took a crapy pic

its for a 13-14 v6 mustang lol but i think its gonna be awesome - and more importantly, it will cover the shaker hole and other holes from my prior mach 1 scoop

my reasons

1 - mine never stays facing 100% straight, always twists a bit. I've tried a couple options but none last.

2 - my motor isn't 100% level, so therefor my shaker isnt either, left side is higher than right popping out the hood (this is a big reason i dont like it)

3 - seeing the "extra" rotating weight makes me nervous that its gonna snap itself off (I have a cheap repo fiberglass shaker tub) i'd actually prefer to not see the thing shake (I know i know)

4 - I have remnant holes from the mach1 scoop, so this new one will COVER the holes without requiring body work

5 - like the aggressive look of the larger fixed hood scoop

6 - having a holly sniper... im constantly needing to get to it lol - and the shaker is such a chore to remove (yeah i know its just 3 extra bolts)

@schweigert Why do you have to constantly get to your sniper? Are you pleased with it? What fuel tank/pump setup did you use?

Run a mount from the base to a boss on the intake to stabilize it, I had to do that for a COBRA air cleaner but eventually I got rid of it due to the weight and its not THAT cool

2 - my motor isn't 100% level, so therefor my shaker isnt either, left side is higher than right popping out the hood (this is a big reason i dont like it)

Couple of washers or drilled plate the right thickness on the low side between the mount and motor will shim that right up

Shaker vs Sniper - Hmmmm - I'm thinking anything that needs that much attention needs to be on Craigslist, go back to a DP and find better things to do with your time

See above...

i've had about every part go bad on it.
I've had to replace - Iac valve, TPS, stuck injector, FIVE o2 sensors, and recently the FPR
I was an earlier adopter and they definately used us as QA ... just check the sniper forum, definitely seems like everyone has a problem eventually. that being said - i still prefer it to the carb

Shaker hoods look good on Mopars and bigger newer Mustangs.

I'm gonna second that any scoop on a turn signal hood just looks too busy. I've got one, without any scoop, and I'd like to toss it and get a nice scooped hood like this, and the lower valance, and the body kit, and....

Thatís a beautiful car..... Iíll take one.

In a perfect wold, I get that no turn signal hood would be better.
However, I already have a beautiful good 68 hood with a hole and a ugly hood scoop.

Trying to replace it with something better.

No offense Mikey, it WAS a 'beautiful good' hood BEFORE someone made it ugly cutting it up ? I don't know where you are, but from time to time I see used Maier scoop hoods for sale locally, maybe that's an option? Or welding up the turn signal holes and getting a lower, cleaner looking scoop? Or keeping the turn signals and welding up the scoop hole ? Either way, your car looks great, make that hood look great too!
