289 engine disassembly

Pulled my pistons out. No obvious issue with the number one piston. The spark plug there was the worst one. On the back piston from the same side, the top ring was in two pieces. I don't see any scoring or excessive ware. I'm stuck with my tear down until I find my puller or go buy one, unless someone has an alternative to pulling the balancer off?

No issues on driver side pistons. Smoke was coming out of passenger side.

O'Reilly has the balancer puller in their loaner tool program.
