1966 mustang interior codes

Im a little confused on this. I have a 66 mustang convertible with pony interior . The car is emberglo . The door data plate has code of F4 for trim code , that is emberglo/parchment - The decoder online says code 64 is emberglo/parchment and also F4 . what one is correct ?

Without having a chart in front of me....Believe 64 is for a "Standard" Interior, and F4 is for a Deluxe "Pony" Interior.

If your car came with a Standard interior, Your Interior code is 64, If your car came with a Deluxe "Pony" Interior, Your Interior code is F4.

I have an Emberglo coupe and I learned that some had a Parchment / Emberglo two tone seats Deluxe Interior and some apparently had an all-Parchment seat Deluxe Interior, both with the parchment metal dash with woodgrain bezel and glove box and with Burgundy dash pad. My son and I LOVE the two-tone seats so that is what we plan to install in ours.

Reading from an 80's edition of Mustang Monthly's "Mustang Recognition Guide", it says code 64 is EMBERGLO & PARCHMENT LUX. INT. Code F4 is PARCHMENT W/EMBERGLO APPT. LUX. INT.

From this, it appears that the difference is in the appointments color.

Parchment with XXX appointments means the seats are all one shade of parchment and the metal trim, dash pad and headliner will be the XXX color.

The factory two tone pony interiors were: Blue/White, Emberglow/Parchment, Aqua/White, Ivy gold/White.

All these colors are awesome when new. The Ivy gold//White fades to a horrible mix of colors that is atrocious.

Everybody has to start some place
