Saddest day I’ve had in 2 and a half years

It was tougher than I thought it’d be.

Wow, that would be tough to handle. I've had my car 35 years. Don't think I'b be able to watch. Hope fully you have something greater in future plans.

My saddest day was watching my '72 EuroGTS Pantera loaded on a trailer and headed off to Colorado. To think I let it go for 22K, makes me want a drink!

Meh.

I call it the house burned to the ground rule.

If the house burns to the ground and I lose everything, Im going to stand by the mailbox, look at my misses and say "Thank God we are alive."

Life......

The 408 blew up almost 4 years ago. The new motor has been running almost a year and the car still isn’t finished and driving. I just don’t have time, or the room to work on it anymore. It’s just wasting away. My kids are showing horses and livestock and it takes up every second of spare time I have. It’s just the best thing for it and us right now.

But man it sucks.

That has to be quite a loss, and hope you can find another one some day.

It sucks, I watched one drive down the block a few years ago.

Life is good, you have a family that appreciates everything you do for them. When the time is right, if you still desire, you will have another. It's not like they didn't make a butt load of em'.

I'm sure it sucks. Sorry , man.
At least you have priorities in life in some sensible order.
These cars are a luxury for most of us, not daily necessity.
I've had MyFirstCar for 27+ years now and it would be the last vehicle I would sell. If it burned, blew up, was stolen, totaled and recovered, I would rebuild it. I hope my first car is my last car. I can't imagine all the memories going away on a trailer or driving away without me.

Well, when the kids are out of the house you can get a better one.

You don't take this stuff with you when you die.

I've been there with 2 of my 3 children being Autistic. Sold the original 67 hardtop in 1999 so the wife could have a "waterproof" 1999 Escort to commute the kids to the University of Chicago for treatment. Bought the current 1965 hardtop in 2014. Life is a long road, enjoy the twist and turns the best you can!

That does suck and I completely understand "life". Been there done that with the one below. Hoping it still is enjoying life in St. Petersburg with the pilot that bought it.

Hopefully you gave it one last thrashing before it was loaded.

I hope you stay with us here on the forum!
